Poly Dome And Metal Dome
Rechan Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer of Poly Dome and Metal Dome. Poly Dome and Metal Dome are also called upper circuits, which together with PCB assembly form a key switch. Rechan Technology has advanced Poly Dome and Metal Dome design experience and a professional technical team.
Poly Dome is made of imported PET. Low-resistance conductive silver dots are printed on the PET, and then molded into a spherical convex state. The Poly Dome buttons feel comfortable, have short contact time with the gold fingers on the PCB, and the buttons rebound quickly.
Metal Dome also uses PET, but instead of printing conductive points, it uses metal shrapnel as the switch button. The buttons have a long service life and the button strength is controllable.
A transparent self-adhesive film is used on the surface, and a metal shrapnel is pasted on the bottom. A gasket is added to the non-shrapnel area to protect the shrapnel. Ventilation grooves are connected between each elastic piece to prevent air below the button from affecting the feel of the button when the button is pressed. This product is called Metal Dome.
The other type does not require metal shrapnel, but directly prints conductive silver dots and bulges on the surface of PET to achieve the same effect as Metal Dome. This product is called Poly Dome.
The functions and usage methods of Metal Dome and Poly Dome are exactly the same. They are both attached to the PCB or flexible circuit board below. Metal Dome and Poly Dome are equipped with silicone buttons or plastic buttons, which together form a button switch. When assembling, pay special attention to the integration of three points: the center point of the silicone button or plastic button, the center point of the Metal Dome or Poly Dome, and the center point of the button area of the PCB or flexible circuit board. The three center points should be aligned vertically. Only in this way can the key function and feel be achieved to the best effect.

Point Reader Matrix Circuit Board

The FPC flexible circuit board adopts a double-layer printing design. There are printed conductive silver paste lines on both sides of the PET. The connection point is a small hole that penetrates both sides. The conductive silver paste in the hole connects the silver lines on the front and back sides.
